Solitaire
The classic single-player card game. Sort all cards into four foundation piles, building each suit from Ace to King.
Objective
Move all 52 cards to the four foundation piles, building each suit from Ace up to King.
Setup
The game starts with seven tableau columns. The first column has one card, the second has two, and so on up to seven. Only the top card in each column is face-up. The remaining cards form the stock pile.
How to Play
Tableau building: Stack cards on the tableau in descending order, alternating between red and black suits. For example, a red 6 can be placed on a black 7.
Moving stacks: You can move a properly ordered sequence of face-up cards from one column to another, as long as the connection is valid.
Empty columns: Only a King (or a stack starting with a King) may be placed in an empty tableau column.
Foundation building: Move cards to the four foundation piles, one per suit, building up from Ace to King. Hearts on hearts, spades on spades, and so on.
Drawing cards: Click the stock pile to draw one card to the waste pile. You can play the top card of the waste pile to the tableau or a foundation. When the stock is empty, click it again to recycle the waste pile back into the stock.
Winning
You win when all four foundation piles are complete — each containing 13 cards from Ace through King in a single suit.
Strategy Tips
Always play Aces and Twos immediately. There is never a reason to leave them on the tableau. Move them to the foundations as soon as they appear.
Expose face-down cards. Prioritize moves that reveal hidden cards in the tableau. More information means better decisions.
Don't empty a column without a King. An empty column is only useful if you have a King ready to fill it. Otherwise you've created dead space.
Build evenly on foundations. Avoid building one foundation far ahead of the others. You may need lower-rank cards of other suits as tableau placeholders.
Think before you draw. Before pulling from the stock, check if you have any useful moves on the tableau first. Drawing should be a last resort.
Use the undo button wisely. If a move doesn't reveal a useful card or improve your position, undo it and try a different approach.

Is the shuffle fair?
Yes. Every deal uses a deterministic pseudo-random shuffle based on a seed value. The same seed always produces the exact same deal. The algorithm is unbiased and gives every possible arrangement an equal chance.
Can I replay the same deal?
Absolutely. Every game has a seed shown below the game board. You can share a game by copying its URL — anyone who opens it gets the exact same deal.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Each day, every player gets the same deal based on the current date. It's a great way to compete with friends or test yourself against a consistent benchmark. Your daily streak tracks how many consecutive days you've completed the challenge.
Are all deals winnable?
Not all Klondike Solitaire deals are solvable — roughly 79% of deals can be won with perfect play. If you get stuck, try a new game or use the hint button to find moves you might have missed.
Is my data stored or shared?
No. All your stats, streaks, and preferences are stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. If you clear your browser data, your stats will be reset.
