Spider Solitaire
Build sequences of cards from King to Ace in this popular solitaire variant. Remove all cards from the tableau to win.
Objective
Remove all cards from the tableau by building complete sequences of 13 cards from King down to Ace in the same suit.
Setup
Two decks of spades (104 cards) are used. Cards are dealt into 10 tableau columns: the first 4 columns receive 6 cards and the last 6 columns receive 5 cards (54 total). Only the top card of each column is face-up. The remaining 50 cards form the stock.
How to Play
Tableau building: Stack cards in descending rank order. For example, a 9 can be placed on a 10. In 1-suit mode all cards are spades, so suit matching is automatic.
Moving sequences: You can move any group of face-up cards that form a descending, same-suit sequence as a single unit to another valid tableau position.
Empty columns: Any card or valid sequence can be moved to an empty column.
Completing sequences: When a face-up sequence of King through Ace (13 cards of the same suit) forms at the bottom of a column, it is automatically removed to the foundation.
Dealing: Click the stock pile to deal one card face-up to each of the 10 columns. All columns must contain at least one card before you can deal.
Revealing cards: When you remove the last face-up card from a column, the top face-down card is automatically flipped face-up.
Winning
You win when all 8 complete King-to-Ace sequences have been removed to the foundations (all 104 cards cleared).
Strategy Tips
Build same-suit runs. Even though you can stack any descending rank on any other, only same-suit sequences can be moved as a group and completed. Prioritize building within the same suit.
Use empty columns wisely. Empty columns are powerful temporary storage. Use them to reorganize cards, but avoid filling them carelessly.
Uncover face-down cards. Exposing hidden cards gives you more options. Focus on columns with the most face-down cards.
Don't deal too early. Dealing 10 new cards adds complexity. Try to organize the tableau and expose face-down cards before dealing from the stock.
Plan ahead. Look for opportunities to create complete K-to-A sequences. Sometimes it's worth making several intermediate moves to set up a completion.
Avoid blocking sequences. Try not to place cards on top of nearly-complete sequences that would break them.
Use the undo button. If a move doesn't work out, undo it and try a different approach.

Is the shuffle fair?
Yes. Every deal uses a deterministic pseudo-random shuffle based on a seed value. The same seed always produces the exact same deal. The algorithm is unbiased and gives every possible arrangement an equal chance.
Can I replay the same deal?
Absolutely. Every game has a seed shown below the game board. You can share a game by copying its URL — anyone who opens it gets the exact same deal.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Each day, every player gets the same deal based on the current date. It's a great way to compete with friends or test yourself against a consistent benchmark. Your daily streak tracks how many consecutive days you've completed the challenge.
What is the win rate for 1-suit Spider Solitaire?
With good play, roughly 60% of 1-suit Spider Solitaire deals are winnable. The single suit makes it the most approachable variant — 2-suit and 4-suit versions are significantly harder.
